The Woodbury campus of Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB) boasts a number of active student organizations. These groups offer students valuable opportunities to connect with potential employers, to build solid relationships with peers and to give back to the community.
A presence in the Woodbury community
On any day, you may find a fundraiser going on in the main student lounge. There may be a flyer announcing a trip to a senior center to do gardening and landscaping. You may see an advertisement for a potluck to support abandoned animals. Although our students lead busy lives, they have time to give back to the community. Extra-curricular activities that strengthen student class work
Our college curriculum encourages involvement in the region beyond the campus. Health fitness students often take field trips to area gyms and fitness centers. Veterinary technology students volunteer in animal shelters and conduct fund-raisers throughout the year. Massage students offer free services to the college community and the public as a way to refine their skills before taking licensing exams.
Some of our student organizations
There are a number of active student organizations at Woodbury, including:
- Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX) – This international student marketing and management organization provides students in business degree programs with opportunities to participate in competitions, travel to conferences and hone their business skills. The GU/MSB chapter frequently wins competitive events and members play leadership roles in the state organization.
- G-PLAAC – Globe Paralegal/Legal Administrative Assistant Club
- GSCAAMA – Globe Student Chapter of the American Association of Medical Assistants
- SCNAVTA – This student chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians of America is one of the most active in the country.
Our Student Ambassadors group plays a leadership role in events sponsored by the college as a whole, such as Woodbury Days, a three-day city-wide event designed to bring all parts of the community together. Our Student Services office makes sure that all our student organizations have the support they need to conduct their activities.
