An understanding of finance is essential to any successful business career.At Globe University/Minnesota School of Business-Woodbury (GU/MSB), we have been business career training since the 1880s, and finance has always been a key element of that education.  Today we offer students in our Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree program the opportunity to choose a Finance emphasis and complete a concentration of coursework in this key area.

Finance is one of several emphases available within the Bachelor of Business Management degree program, and is one of the more popular choices of students at our Woodbury campus. The demand for financial analysts and the fundamental nature of the coursework make this an excellent choice for a person seeking an executive or upper management career.

The finance emphasis

Included in the course of study for this program are two years of basic business courses. Many students fulfill this requirement by completing the associate’s degree in Management Accounting or the associate’s degree in Business Administration.  We will also evaluate requests to apply other education, training and work experience to the requirements for the Business Management: Finance Emphasis. In the 3rd and 4th year, students study topics focused on finance, including the following:

All requirements for the Bachelor's in Business Management, including finance courses, can be completed online, through GU/MSB, making it possible to obtain a college degree even if you have a job, a family or other responsibilities. In addition, you have the option of taking some classes online and other at our Woodbury campus.
