Our bachelor’s degree in media business was designed for students with associate degrees in fields such as:

There are several ways to qualify. If you have a GU/MSB associate degree in one of these fields or if you have a similar degree from another accredited college, or if you are able to demonstrate equivalent preparation, you may be eligible for admission. Approval of applications to this program is on a case-by-case basis.
What are the specific admission requirements for this degree program?
Students must have earned an Associate of Applied Science or Associate of Arts degree that includes 60 credits in media technology and 30 credits of general education. You must have an associate degree to be considered.
What classes are required by the media business program?
Students complete 68 credits in specialized technical and business subjects as well as 25 credits of general education classes. Courses cover topics such as:
- Arts management and entrepreneurship
- Marketing for media businesses
- Advertising strategies for creative organizations
- Leadership and management
- Sales
- Basic business skills
- Marketing using the Internet
- Small business operations
- Ethics in business
- Market research
- Promotion and public relations
- Technical production
Students also complete a media capstone course that requires them to use their upper level business skills combined with their technical knowledge to promote a specific business venture.

This bachelor’s degree program is also available through our Globe University online division. Students can complete their degrees whenever and wherever it’s convenient for them. They don’t have to worry about long commutes, family responsibilities or work schedules. A student can even take some classes online and some at our Woodbury campus.

Other members include Utah Career College , Institute of Production and Recording (Edina, MN), Minnesota School of Cosmetology, and the Duluth Business University. Globe Education Network provides academic and operational support and manages shared resources that benefit students. Through approved consortium agreements, students are able to earn credit for coursework from member schools.
