At the Woodbury, MN, campus of Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB), we offer a two-year associate’s medical assistant degree and a medical assistant diploma. These programs prepare our students for positions in:
- Clinics
- Hospitals
- Doctors’ offices
- Public health departments and agencies
- The military
We also train students for certification in the medical assistant field. Students can take the exams for Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and, for associate’s degree graduates, Certified Radiologic Technician (CRT) exam given by the American Registry of Radiographic Technicians (ARRT). This credential is increasingly important, as a growing number of employers hire only medical assistants with Radiologic Technician certification.
Become an important part of a medical team
As a medical assistant, you will be a key member of the medical team. Medical assistants sometimes have more patient contact than a nurse or physician. To find out if this is the right option for you, call our Woodbury location at 651-730-5100 or e-mail us to get started. An admissions representative will be happy to talk with you about becoming a medical assistant, take you on a tour of our labs and discuss financial aid options.

Students work in our medical labs, training on the same equipment they will use when they are employed in the medical field. Our medical assistant programs were developed by an advisory board of medical professionals.
