Criminal Justice Degree- Woodbury

A career in criminal justice is both challenging and rewarding. People with college degrees in criminal justice will have an edge when they apply for jobs or promotions in the field. At Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB)-Woodbury, we offer two college degree programs in criminal justice that give students the knowledge and education they need.

Degree programs in criminal justice

Students at our Woodbury campus can choose either a bachelor’s degree or an associate degree program. In both cases, students get practical training that prepares them for careers in areas such as corrections, law enforcement support, or victim advocacy.

Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (BS). Students are able to complete our “4-year” degree in three years if they attend school full-time. They acquire solid knowledge of law enforcement theory, criminal behavior, the judiciary and corrections. They also take general education classes that strengthen their communication and problem-solving skills.

Associate in Applied Science in Criminal Justice (AAS). This degree program provides students with the hands-on training that leads to success in the field. Students can earn their degrees in 18 months if they attend full-time. They are prepared for entry-level positions in many different areas of the criminal justice field.

Choose between online and on-campus

Both degree programs are available through our online college. Students can complete all their classes online, or take some online and others at our Woodbury campus. Online students enjoy the same strong support that we offer all students, including tutoring, a well-staffed online help desk and responsive faculty and staff who want you to succeed.

Employment as a law enforcement officer may require additional training as determined by your state’s Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). The criminal justice program at Globe University/Minnesota School of Business does not fulfill Minnesota POST requirements; however, it does qualify in some other states. Our program staff can advise you and help you identify suitable training opportunities.
