Paralegal programs offered at our Woodbury campus
We offer the following programs that prepare students for paralegal careers:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Paralegal: Employers increasingly require applicants for positions as legal assistants and paralegals to have a bachelor’s’ degree. Students in our BS paralegal studies program take advanced courses in specific areas of the law, such as contracts, family law and criminal law.
Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Paralegal: This seven-quarter degree program prepares students for jobs as legal assistants and also serves as a foundation for a four-year degree in paralegal.
Certificate in Paralegal. This program requires three quarters of full-time study. Students who have earned a bachelor's degree in almost any field are eligible to enroll in this program. They build on their bachelor's degrees to establish solid careers.
Internships, practical training and online options
Students in the degree programs complete a paralegal internship unless they are already working in the legal field. Our graduates have practical experience even before they enter the job market. Many students take some or all of the paralegal classes online through GU/MSB's online program, allowing them to fit the coursework into their busy lives.
