Online Master’s in Management Degree

The Master of Science in Management (MSM) degree at Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB) prepares a student for management in a specific area. This program is not offered at our Woodbury campus, but can be completed entirely through our online college.

Requirements for admission to the MSM program

Admission decisions are made on an individual basis after evaluation of a number of factors, including the student's academic and professional experience and a personal interview. For more information, please contact Globe University admissions.

Program preparation: professional experience in one of the following

Health Care Management. The Master’s in Management: Health Care program includes regulatory issues, personnel management in the health care industry, ethics and health care administration. Graduates are prepared for leadership positions with health care providers, policy organizations, government agencies, insurers and other industry organizations.

Information Technology. The Master’s in Management: IT program provides industry-specific leadership training for those with information systems or information technology experience. Topics include project management, IT security management, IT personnel management, ethics in technology and applications of information systems management.

Managerial Leadership. The Master’s in Management: Managerial Leadership program provides a team member with skills to become a team leader, or the mid-level manager to advance to upper management.

Credit for prior learning

Globe University-Woodbury awards, at no charge, credit toward the MSM degree for course-equivalent experience, including graduate work completed at approved institutions, professional experience and military training. A student may fulfill up to 50% of the Master’s in Management program requirements through such credit. Contact your campus dean about the process of applying for credit.

Comparing the MBA and the MSM

GU/MSB offers two graduate programs for managers, the MBA and the MSM. There are significant areas of overlap between the programs. Distinctions include the MSM program’s focus on a specific area of expertise, where the MBA is a general business administration program. The MSM program also includes a strong practicum component. We invite you to contact college admissions and speak with a representative to evaluate the programs in light of your personal goals and resources.
